Default Fuel Strainer/Pump/Baffles.

Okay, so I have been doing some research over 1992'* stalling out when below a half tank of gas. My car has stalled out about 2 or 3 times since i have bought it (early August of '04). I have been looking over the forums trying to figure this out, I couldn't come down to an answer.

I've read that it could be the baffles, it could be the strainer, or maybe the pump. I don't want to take any chances, so, I'm going to try and do them all at the same time. Just to make sure I get everything fixed. What do I do to fix the baffles? What do I do to fix the strainer? What do I do to fix the pump? Do I have to buy a whole new tank to get rid of the baffles problem? Where can I get a new strainer and pump, and how much $ are we talking? What is the process that I have to go through to drop the tank and get inside of it/ replace it? II would like to get all of this done before winter actually kicks in and i have trouble working on the car.

I would appreciate it if any of you would help me out with getting some of this information here. I feel that this could be a BIG problem for whoever drives this without knowing the problem is there. Again, please help me out with this on-going problem that I have with the stupid fuel delievery.

Get a tank from like a 95 and newer (I think that they are the same tank) because they don't have the baffle problems. The pump and the strainer are all one piece I think so don't worry about that part. You could get both from a local salvage yard for around a 100 bux or less. At least at my work you could....but we can't ship that stuff.

Hope this is acurate and helps. Some one will chime in a correct in a few min......Bill always does lol.
