Question Check engine light is on. (1992 Olds 88) How to scan?

I am wondering how am I supposed to scan my vehicle for codes?
I believe my vehicle does not have OBD2 system so I have no idea on how to scan it.
I would like to figure out what the problem is.
I hope someone can help me.

Vehicle specs:
1992 Oldsmobile 88
3800 series engine
Everything is factory
92,xxx miles

use a paperclip in your obd1 port i forget how exactly to read the code but i know you do it by watching the check engine light flash call autozone they can tell you or maybe another member can explain it
