I will hang onto the tool simply for the fact that it will read the OBD1 compliant cars and trucks very well... Other than that its junk in my eyes and I will never buy another Actron scantool..
I E-Mailed them and got a response back the next day stating that the CP9145/CP9150 would not read or display enhanced data, just generic data... They pointed me in the direction of OTC...
I did not get a chance to mess with the same tool that Big News sold... But am wanting to tinker with it more when I have the time...
I think my next tool will be the same type as the unit Big news sold... Might have been an Auto X Ray if memory serves...
So if anyone wants to buy an Actron to read their perameters or display the Enhanced Data, forget Actron... Run away and go in another direction

Ben had the Auto X-ray that Mike (lash) purchased from him, but that did require an additional software purchase on top of the regular price to get the enhanced data (but at least the upgrade was available).

I agree Bob...
I had asked about the Upgrade and was told no Upgrade for the tool...
Its funny tho the other company that they own, Kal Equip does have scantools that will read Enhanced data... But they weren't cheap...
I looked at the Auto X Rays and they were gennerally $700 for the unit I wanted...

Right, I have Ben'* old AutoXray 4000 with, I assume, with the upgrade and it works great. The new AutoXray 6000 is the $700 unit and says that it comes ready to read all enhanced data.
My understanding is that the AutoTap product for those with laptops is a bit less expensive than that and may (Chime in here, folks!) read the enhanced data as is also.

Yes, I have the autotap, as do a few others. You can get a reader version, laptop version or a palm pilot version if I recall correctly.
I picked up the laptop version, an extra cable (only needed for 96'* because of the angle if you are going to drive) and the GM and Ford enhancement packages. Total was $400. Less about $50 for the cable and $75 for the Ford enhancement, probably a little less than $300 out the door.
You can view and record more stuff than most could ever consider thinking about at one time.
