Default Actron CP9145 Scantool and 96-99 Bonnevilles?

Anyone with an Actron CP9145 and a 96-99 Bonneville?

I have an Actron CP9145 Scantool and although I knew it wasn’t the scantool to end all scantools, for the money I thought it was a good deal.

Anyways, in using it on my ’97 SSEi, I have been a little disappointed in the amount of live data it was showing, specifically, the lack of KR and Transmission Temperature.

I have asked a couple of people about this in PM’* that have the same model, and thier tool shows these perameters, but there Bonnes are pre-96.

This last weekend, I got the OBDI connector cable and scanned a member’* ’93 SSE and WOW, all sorts of additional data showed up (including KR and trans temp) that I have never seen on my scantool, before.

So, this has lead me to asking what other members with the Actron CP9145 and a ’97 (maybe ’96, ’98 or 99 Bonne) see when scanning for live data.

Thanks for the input.

Ah....NOW we are getting somewhere. So, Don, when you hooked it up to Mike'* car, you saw a very small amount of limited data compared to the 95 and 91?

...and....a little confused, here....what do you mean the "number" of PIDs?

Yeah I saw very limited info... But there should be a way to acess the perameters... I was gonna read the manual some more to see what they were as I too was very confused...

I'll get back to the PID'* in a few... Gonna go read
I have been through the manual to no avail. My scanner included a CD that has extra code definitions (according to the booklet that came with the CD), but I don't think this gives extra live data readings. I am glad we are having this disscusion, because if the 9145 can't display the good stuff, then I will steer 96-99 owners away from purchasing it.

You know, I have an Autoxray, but haven't used it all that much, so far. This weekend, I'll hook it back up and see what I can see. Maybe it'* a '97 thing?

Of course, so far all we have to go by are 2 '97s, lol.

Anyone else?

Never noticed any display identifying number of PID'*....I have just hooked it up and began scrolling though the perameters (only to be disappointed by lack of data). Luckily I have a friend with an Autotap, so real data readings can be obtained. And, if we can't find a way for the actron to display the other data, it will at least make a good paperweight
