Thanks Will. So the special-happy-magic-nothing.is.better.than.beer-grease is the Rheotemp 500? Where does a guy get that? GM Stealership or an auto parts store?

So now the plot thickens.

I've discovered the Harmonic Balancer is shot. It appears to be cracked at least half way around. If I grab it with two hands (belts are off remember) the middle crank shaft doesn't turn but the HB pulley does... Bad thing right? I'll bet it bit the dust when the Water Pump went out last month. I think I can feel some sort of rubber seal around the outside edge of the HB... it looks to be torn.

So I'll get after this problem after I fix the SC. Any advise on this problem... I'll do my home work on the site in the meantime.

The Rheotemp is already in the Rolling Performance bearings. Pre-applied.

Same for the SC Thunderchicken bearing source (which I can give you if you can't contact RP).
