dont like to beat a dead horse but, if you want more light, why dont you put the 9005'* in the low beam side and get even more light. here is the site on how to mod the lights
http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/More_light.htm

did it to our car over a year ago, love the light i have now and NO one has flashed there lights at us yet and we do a lot of night driving. you do get more light, a 9005 bulb has 70% more lumens than the 9006 (1700 lumens vs 1000 lumens).
the one problem i see is when i get in my truck(1999 Ford) , its like i have headlights from the 1950'* or 60'* . they look dull and dont light up the road near as good as the modified 9005 lights in my SSEi. and no i cant modify my lights on the Ford, i would if i could but hell its a Ford.

Has anyone ever tried Wagner'* tru-view bulbs? They are the same as the SS'* the bule Xenon filled bulbs with regular filaments. The light output of the bulbs that came with the car was pitiful, so I replaced just the high beams with the tru-views. Made a big difference, and well worth the money spent. 2 years on mine, not a problem with em!

I have silverstars in my Jeep (stock jeep headlights SUCK at night, very narrow field of light ) I love them.Very bright, nice wide field. I don't find the glare in rain and snow to be all that bad, but that'* just me.

I bought a set of the SS U'* on Friday at PEP Boys. Put them in on Saturday but have not driven at night yet. I have a regular SS go bad last weeekend. I believe I had the SS set in for 18 to 24 months.

PEP Boys had a decent sale with a rebate!
