I'm pretty sure it would grind the starter unless there is factory anti-grind feature installed, I'll try it just to see but with the button where I put it it'* not gonna get bumped and when you push it you have to mean to push it with some force

Ok so I checked while I was out, if I start the car with the button and then push it again the starter will not engage, same with when I had already started the car and turned the key to start, all the instument panel went out like it always does when you hold key to start but the starter did not engage

I'm pretty sure the PCM has something to do with this because the CRANK signal goes to the PCM before it goes to the starter relay, so at least on 2000+ there is anti-grind features on the cars, can't be sure about the older ones
