Default Push start button

I just got a 95 Dakota, and i'm finally free of the "chip" in the key situation. So, hypothetically, how hard is it to convert my ignition to a push start? my thought is: a toggle switch to go from OFF to RUN, and then a seperate momentary button to START. Then to shut the truck off, the toggle switch would just get switched OFF. Is it that simple? What am I overlooking? my ignition switch is fairly accessible- i would just need to locate the correct wires and T Tap into them and run my wires wherever.

Thanks!

jeff

I did it to a 70'* Cutlass once. It'* really simple. Route all the wires except the starter wire to the toggle. The starter wire goes to the push button. You cold route the starter wire through the toggle as well, so the starter could only be ngaged while the toggle was on, but I didn't.

Honestly I would keep the key to go to the ON/RUN position and then just use a momentary switch to start your car.

Its pretty easy to do.

Parallel the starter enable wire, with a push button. You will need to probe the wires to find which one does the trick, or check a dodge site?
