Default IP Lights Occasionally On During Day

Everyone,

Occasionally the Instrument Panel lights and taillights come on with the DRL'* during the day on my '03 SSEi.

The headlight switch is off and the delay switch is off. There is plenty of light during the day so the lights shouldn't be coming on.

Anyone have this situation, or know what the cause may be?

This only happens occassionally, and it'* not a problem, I was just wondering if anyone knows what may be causing it.

Thanks.

Dave

I'm thinking like Steve....fog light, fog light switch or relay for the same. Or the daylight sentinel is on it'* way out.

I've noticed that in the winter months the angle of the Sun is low enough that the sensor thinks it'* dusk. Perhaps I need to clean the sensor or adjust it. I haven't worried about it myself as long as they come off when the ignition is off.

So your instrument panel lights come on now and then also?

It'* not a problem for me either, and they do go out when the car is turned off, I was just wondering if anyone knew what might be causing it.
