A year later and I see this post.....sorry.
Ya for anyone who is interested I fixed the problem by getting a cluster from the wreckers.
The one that was in my car was rebuilt before I got the car (I didn't know at the time).
I noticed an extra sticker on it when I took it out, it said rebuilt on it.
So ya the problem was fixed by switching clusters, still works to this day a year later.
