Thanks, Cheetah. I'm reffering to my cluster lights. I did a test today, and it seemed the more stress I put on it (esp. the rear window heater), the more they dimmed. Time to step up to a 140? I'll be pulling the board off tomorrow; it'* just REALLY cold, lol

I have a used 140 here that is good. It tested @ 126A with engine at temp I bought an extra one before I came up the ALCAN and have stillhave the old one laying around if you want to go that route

I'd remove those battery cable boots for a look before doing anything else. Have you cleaned the ground bus yet? Battery cables?

That comes first before an alternator replacement. Both of these issues can cause your symptoms.

Take the alternator off and have Autozone bench test it for you.

Greg and Pete...I'm pretty sure that the 92-95 alternator is different than the 96-99 for mounting points.
