Grounding Kits.
Hey folks
Anyone familiar with grounding kits for there cars, a member at OF.com wants to do one for my car, he explains it helps out a lot, clears up the electrical signals to the ECM/PCM and in turn helps in a myriad of ways...from intake/throttle response to brightening the headlamps!
Any thoughts/experiences?

A friend of mine that went to UTI college in Chicago last year had an experience with this. They did it with their instructors car. They dyno'd it, re did all the grounds and some where managed to gain 4 hp at the wheel. So you are correct, definantly could benefit from a kit like this. Especially us higher mileage owners.

I would love to, but that'* a lot of wiring I don't have the time for. If someone made a kit for the Bonneville, it would be a very good selling product just on BC alone. They car this was done on was an 88 Crown Vic.

For sure its going to be for the Aurora, the guy that offered to do it for me, drives a 2000 Intrigue and has sold a few kits (custom).
My Aurora is going to be a guinea pig car. To be honest, you'd figure such an increase in whp would have generated more interested in the 3800 world.

Is/was you Mustang as electronically driven as the Aurora though?
My tranny is electronically controlled, my TB is electronically controlled etc etc etc...I really dont know to much about how its set up or what, all I know is that it helps the flow of electricity to the PCM (or so goes my understanding)
Educate me here before I look into this!

This i think could be something like the BCS and MAF Screen Mod, some will benefit, some won't. Only way I could explain it. Methods used in the process could have something to do with it. How much is that guy gonna do the Aurora for? 4 whp isn't even something that you're gonna notice like doing something drastic (10 whp or more) but the functionality of the car I think would definantly benefit. Especially us Bonne owners with the lamp monitors that tell lies all the time...Think most of that is a ground problem? Or so I hear

I hope it all works out. If we could get something for the Bonnevilles, we could eliminate A LOT of problems tracked back to electrical problems....Maybe save alternators longer, and possibly less PCM failures.
