Default Deactivating Radio Theftlock Feature

I had to put in a new battery this week and didn't realize the previous owner had activated the theftlock feature on the radio.

My radio is locked, I don't know the pass code and it won't let me enter a new one.

Any ideas?

Were you able to remove the "LOC" on the radio?

yes. after some dogpile searches (and finding out it could be upwards of $100 if a dealer unlocked it), i found the answer. it only took about 10 minutes! i'd take $100 to do that for someone else! what a rip...

No. I found a site that gave instructions to get a display code; called an 800 #; entered the display code #'*, and the computer gave me the unlock code. Might be a temporary fix as I haven't tried to re-activate the system, but everything (including the clock) seems to work.

That'* a good deal. The dealerships charge like $35.00 to remove the "LOC".
