I connected one meter lead to the negative cable coming out of the engine fuse box and the other stabbing the number 7 black wire at the pcm connector.

So it sounds like the 1st time you did step#6 you went on to step#16 when you should have gone to step#7.

yeah, after going through steps 1-2-3-4-8-25-26-30.. and knowing a have a magnet there, I just started doing other test to see if I run into something else. Not in order but, I did replace the icm. And step 16 was that the step I just did with the black wire.. correct?

Rod - please follow those steps as listed in the flow chart. By not doing it, you are making more work for yourself, and for us. Refer back to the diagram, and print it out if necessary. That will also answer your last question.

Hey Archon,
Sorry about that, I'm going in order all the way to step 30 the faulty magnet..that is where I stopped no reason to go further..the others i did were just to test if i was getting the correct meter readings and if my test light was working . However they could be ignored. THe correct order would be 1 through 30..sorry guys for the back tracking.

Back tracking is fine...we'll go over it as many times as is needed to find the problem. Just need the procedure followed, so that we know at what step things go wrong which should point us to the problem. With all that has "passed", and where you reach an anomaly it would seem to point to a bad PCM. However, before you replace that (and maybe find that isn't the problem either) we want to be pretty certain that'* where the problem lies.

That'* also why BillBoost and Technical Ted have stopped in to help out, also.
