Default 2001 SLE will not start

Help,
I have 45-50 lbs on the fuel rail, and no spark (Checked by lifting wire boots off coils and watching for arc). I took the three coils and the ignition module to auto zone and all tested fine. The manager even ran the module test ten times to warm it up a bit.
Before it would not start at all, it would occasionally die out on initial start attempt; sometimes it sputtered around the idle RPM'* a bit and then die. It would normally do this only when the engine was warm.
Thanks for any help you can provide. I do not want to go out and buy a new PCM and ign. module and have it still not crank.

ICM and coil testing at auto parts stores is a joke. They cannot even come close to testing these complicated units, and don't even know it.

I've seen good units test bad, and bad units test good.

How about we get some codes? We need a PCM scan before you spend a dime.

I borrowed the Actron code reader that auto zone normally sells for $100., and it said there were no stored codes.

That code reader will only report CURRENT codes, and not history codes. You need a scantool, not a code reader.

Okay...Scantool. Where to buy? Cheapest price? Any parts stores 'loan' them?
Thanks.
