Default Parking light problems... 94 SSEi

I got my parking lights, and the dash, radio, and climate control backlighting to work now... It was a stupid fuse, I should have checked it in the first place. But now they only work with the car off, then when I start it and turn them on, POP! goes the fuse. put another in and turned them on with the car running, POP again. It doesn't pop fuses with the car off. So I think there'* a short somewhere, or it does have a bad switch? It'* just worrying me now, since I need to start driving it soon.

What have you done to the car recently? I had a similar situation after installing a new HU. Forgot to insulate one stinkin' wire....

At least you have it narrowed down. It'* something in your dash (I'm assuming) that'* only on with the key.

Nope, no aftermarket at all. I hope it'* the switch. I'm not very good at electrical.

Not to beat this down..

They work fine when the car isn't started but once you start it..POP goes the fusie?

Makes me think something that only comes on when the car is on is a problem. Things on that circuit would be radio and stuff like that.

Alright, I just put a fuse in it again. I turned the lights on with the car off, no key, and it didnt pop, then I turned they key on and turned them on, it didnt pop, I started the car and turned them on, POP!. So it has something to do with the car running.

Ok..we are getting somewhere.

What is different w/the car running vs not running.

Radio would be with on for key.. so it'* not that.

Calling in backup.
