Default I've "blown" my "cover"!!!

So anyways, I started lookin' at the spare cover that I had sitting in Dons trunk since October and thought "hmm....I think I can make this work for me".

So I went to town with my Dremel and came up with....

Not finished yet of course, but I want opinions. So far, I think it looks WAY better than the factory supercharged cover.

Yeah the cover I am hacking up is from an L27. Series 1 L67 covers are different in the fact that cover the whole supercharger and are ribbed. This idea, I think, gives it a much cleaner look once it is done. Not to mention it covers the injectors a bit better.

yeah i like that, BadSSE in Asheville NC, when i went to pick up stuff of his parts car he grabed the L27 cover off and said he was gonna see if it would fit on his and i'm like ok...then he walks away and i was thinking wait, he has the L67 so i went to go tell him it wouldn't and he had cut it already and i'm like oh, nice!

so you're not the first that i've seen, but still cool idea, i wana do something with mine...and i have a spare also

Doesn't seem to flow with the SC like the other one.

Maybe if you pulled off the small one on the snout i'd like it more.

I actually really like that idea!! If the cover said 'Supercharged' it would be perfect of course, but that would be tricky to make happen - possible though with some fiberglass/bondo work. I like the fact that it doesn't cover the SC.

It slightly reminds me of an LS1 with the two separate covers on each side of the UIM.

Looks great!
