So far I think I can say this one shoud not need any VHT and that would be super cool. By cutting instead of melting away the black plastic, it'* apparent that no delam has happened.
I painted the first one from the inside as well. There is no way to only remove the pliastic behind each letter. You start in, figure out where you are and go from there. In this version I did the whole section I was hoping would delam. This made it easier because it was possible to see the last bit of black come off and leave the red.
it'* a pretty smooth considering...Rob and I discussed it..maybe a superfine hand sanding is in order. Will need to consider it. Then paint from inside, add LED'* and it'* all set.
When Drifter cut his front to do this...me was cutting through close to a 1/2" of material. Kudos to you Drifter...I would have ended up with a huge melted mess.
