What is hooked to the electrical system besides stuff that the factory installed?
nothing hooked to electrical system. I believe the excessive draw is coming from the starter motor. When key is on for some reason there is a requirement stronger than the starter can perform so it’* pulling more power ? In my old mind back in the day of mechanical timing if the timing was off a little the vehicle would run fine but starter would struggle to turn after warm up. This just opposite starter struggles to turn cold.

You need to come to grips with the fact that you don't know enough about electronics and electrical to properly test. You make assumptions that are wrong. You should take it to an established decent shop.

What make and model of battery do you have in it?

Are the terminals the original factory terminals or aftermarket of some sort?
