To sell or keep?
Need opinions
Purchasing a 95 Monte Carlo Z34 with 140k from a friend for a pretty good price (only $300). Car runs and drives great, only concern I have on it is the transmission fluid (has a very slight red tint to it, otherwise it is dark but not burnt). I think I've decided that once i get the car I'm going to drop the pan and change filter&gasket and replace the fluid that came out and leave it alone. BUT, this car will be replacing my 1994 Oldsmobile 98 Regency 3.8L with 175k on it. I can't decide if I want to sell my Oldsmobile after I get the Monte Carlo for extra $$$ or if i wanna keep the Oldsmobile laying around in case I need it. I also don't wanna pay the extra insurance on the Oldsmobile either..
Just looking for some opinions on what you guys would do..
Thanks!

Why would you decommission the olds? What issues are looming on the horizon that have you willing to dump it over a $300 acquisition? What are you hoping to gain from 35k less miles on a drivetrain that does not have the proven service record of the 3.8, and was built to a lower price than your current ride?

Thanks for the reply!
And just to clarify, the questions I was asking are ones you would want to ask yourself when faced with a decision like this.
I found myself in the same boat when I was able to scoop up my '94 Regal for cheap. The Regal is in much better shape than my Park Avenue, with 120k less miles, and yet I still wound up back at my Park Avenue.
Thankfully, I am in a position to insure them both, and have also enjoyed some of the benefits to having two sets of wheels around.
