Default S10 instrument cluster light problem

My daughter just bought a 1993 S10 pickup with a 4.3L in it. Found out last night the instrument lights don't work. I'm pretty sure the bulbs are burned out in it. My question is, how do you get to them? Do you separate the lens from the cluster and split it in half or do you pull the whole thing forward and get to them from the backside? Thanks

Is it all the lights, or just one or two?

It'* all the lights. Since I wrote last, I got the cluster out and all seven of the larger bulbs are good (think they were 949s). Didn't bother looking or metering the smaller warning lamps at the bottom (there were about 7 of them, too. Found a print on AutoZone'* website and it showed power is fed to the cluster by a gray wire with a 5A fuse and had a note saying it was "hot with lights on". The fuse is good leading me to believe it'* the switch module.
