Default Instrument Cluster Problem..02 Rendezvous

New to the site and I'm happy I found it.
Well, I have an 02 Rendezvous and I'm having a problem with the gear/trip indicator. It was working fine till about 2 weeks ago. It just went dark. I can see that it'* working but it'* not illuminated. I have searched the net and by most accounts the resistors are damaged. I pulled out the cluster hoping that I would be able to tell where the problem was. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so. I couldn't make out which where the resistors. I would like to try and fix this myself. I have nothing to loose. It'* not working perfect anyway. Can someone help? If you can guide me as to how to determine what resistors control that area. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, this IC is different than mine. On mine, all the parts are almost flush with the board thus making the resistors hard to identify. I will try to take some pictures and post them.
