Default No crank,no start

I have a 06 malibu with a 2.2l engine, one day the car was running fine the next nothing. When i turn the key it acts like the battery is dead. Does not engage starter at all. There is an error msg where the miles should be. Changed the starter, battery and the passkey module and nothing has changed any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you changed anything, the first thing you should have done was check to see if the run/crank relay clicked, when you have the key in the on position......then when you turn the key to the crank position, the starter relay should click....

When the ignition switch sends the proper signal to the BCM, the BCM energizes the relays depending on the position of the the key(off/acc/run/crank)........

Did you check for any B codes from the BCM? P codes from PCM?

Didn't check start relay but hooked up scanner a minute ago and it gave me the following codes: p0606,p0117,p0443,p0650 and p2610.

Not liking 606, 650, 2610.....you now have to check for B and U codes......

I just Googled around a bit:

P0606: PCM internal integrity fault
P0117: Engine coolant temperature sensor low voltage
P0443: Evap purge control valve circuit short or open
P0650: PCM output circuit issue towards MIL
P2610: PCM engine-off timer malfunction

From this side of my keyboard it looks like a bad PCM and/or some major issues with lots of wires etc. I agree with Tech II that you should check for B and U codes.

Has the car been through any trauma and/or had any modifications or repairs recently (or not so recently)?

Car was running fine one day, and the next day nothing. How do you check for b & u codes. Scanner only gave me those codes. Only have a basic craftsman scanner.

You are going to need to find a shop with an expensive high end scanner like a Snap On Ultra, to read all the stored codes including B & U codes.

I have the Snap On 2500 scanner that is updated through 06 for domestic and Asian vehicles and will get you all the codes and has bi-directional control for manufacturer tests. Works great. I'll sell it for $400 shipped to mainland US.
