Need Some Silverado Advice

I've owned several Silverados, with every engine except the 8.1. The 4.3 is a decent motor, but not all that great on gas. The 5.3 is capable of ~ 20 MPG highway with a light foot and a CAI. Go for it, the 5.3 truck is more versatile, and will get similar gas mileage.
