Default More Silverado Advice

Hi again folks,

Thanks to all who helped with my last thread. And I have decided to keep my Silverado (mainly because someone else bought the other one) and I'm trying to help myself get a little better gas mileage. I have employed every MPG raising driving strategy I can find and have gotten 17 mpg on occasion.

I was wondering if anyone makes a performance chip/tuner for a 4.3L V6. I know they're out there and there are some great ones for V8'* and Diesels. I also plan on trying out a K&N and going to an exhaust place and see what they can do for me.

Thanks again for any input!

Starting with a filter and exhaust is the best/easiest way to improve your fuel economy! I'll try to find some information about a tuner.

Thanks for the response and views!

I DO plan on having something done to my exhaust to improve my mpg, but does anyone have recommendations/anything they've tried that worked (costs) included.

Thanks!

I can't think of anything you could do to improve fuel economy regarding the exhaust system.

any cherry bomb muffler a turbo can be bought at autozone or meijers or walmart for around 25 bucks and then you'd need clamps so overall for a muffler around 30-35 bucks cherry bombs are a pretty free flowing straight through design i've used the turbos and they work pretty well and don't sound to bad either
