I got a few of those kicking around. Complete with coil packs even.

its too bad you're so far. i hate to make her wait longer for her car though. as it is she has been taking the south shore railway up into michigan daily. and it sucks royal sitting about a half mile from the lake in non heated bus stop style train stops. lol

do you think that is the most likely culprit being that it died, started but missed alot and then wouldnt start hardly at all? like i said i put my finger on the #6 terminal while she cranked a good 20 seconds and nothing happened at all.

another problem i think i might have is getting the coil packs off. 2 of them are under the cowl being a rwd car.

When your at the yard, you might as well grab the coil packs too. And just swap out the units as one unit.

yeah thats a good idea. im hoping its just the icm and not the cps. it looks like a miserable job on that camaro. plus my jack is too tall, and my ramps are too.

well, it ran for 15 minutes and i got in it to take it for a ride and right when i hit the gas it sputtered and died. it restarted for about 5 seconds and died. i pushed it back and then came home to see what you guys think. if it matters it was burning off coolant from the radiator area. its got a cover over the radiator so i couldnt see where it was coming from.

thanks alot for any help guys!

Had this issue with my 2005 Mitsubishi Evo. It ended up being the coil pack was good enough to let the car idle but when the motor got hot or I put pressure on it it would misfire and die. Always started back up but not for long.

one thing i am also concerned about, is are there any conditions where the car is vaporizing the coolant that would cause these symptoms? after running about 15 mins the car will start to vaporize the coolant from the radiator area even though the gauge says the car is at normal op temp. thanks alot guys. i just really wanna get this girl back on the road. its her only mode of transport and im doing this at-cost as it is and shes still not sure she can afford it.
