Default 89 G20 van runs good cold, but not warm

I have a 89 G20 van 5.7 TBI that runs great when it'* cold, But after it warms up it runs like hell. It idle'* fine but when you give it gas it wont hardly go at all. That is, you give it gas and it wants to die but you let up and it idles fine. ???. Runs great cold. But after it warms up it wants to die as soon as you give it gas. New tune up parts, coil and all. New Fuel pump too. At times it ran fine but then would start running like this. I can idle along, lol. But that wont get me far or up hill, lol. Dang thing. Any idea'*???

Maybe a bad Throttle Position Sensor?

Is the check-engine light on?

The light was on but I have disconnected the battery now. SO the code is gone. I can drive it so it hasn't come back on. It might not make it back so I can't drive it. Is there a way to test the Position sensor.? I know where its at.
