The battery light illuminates where the security light would be at. That is all that lights up... No security light. If door is left open it will say door ajar.

Yes, the Security message is located in the message center....I found that out in the owner'* manual....

You are saying your vehicle cranks over but doesn't start?

Yes tech 2. But the issue is intermittent. Works fine some days. Other days it won't. I've done a shake down on all wires. Can't get it to repeat.

Intermittents are the toughest to diagnose.......the fact your SECURITY light is not on(we know it works), and the car cranks over, I am thinking it is not a security problem........

Has anything ever been added to the vehicle, that would tie into the wiring like a remote start?

Your fuel pressure is ok, but did you ever test it when it wouldn't start, or was it tested when it did start? If you only tested it when it would start, it could be a fuel pump problem....also last time fuel filter replaced?

As far as wiring goes, I have seen mice problems in 2 areas.....

One, under the upper plenum......they like to get under there in a warm engine, and love to eat the insulation on the injector wires...if bare, they could short out....

The other is the PCM harness in the air cleaner assembly.....take the black box apart that houses the air filter, and you will see the PCM.....they sometimes form a little party in there and eat insulation, where wires may touch each other....

Thank you tech 2. This is exactly the information I'm looking for. Was hoping it wasn't under the plenum but will take apart air filter box tonight. If nothing there. I will take off plenum and go from there. I appreciate your input! Thanks. Will update with results!
