I have a problem with my 98 ville SE.
After driving the car for a little bit the tranny slips to where i cannot go anywhere. every gear. I turn the car off for about 20 seconds and turn it back on again. drives fine again until it starts doing the same thing again. I turn it off and back on and drive then slip.

Im not sure what would keep the clutches from engaging after a while and right after a restart start working again...
Is there a computer that controls this or solenoids that go bad?

Tranny level is good and tranny filter is changed.

What does the trans fluid look and smell like after attempting to drive?
