Hey guys are trying to figure this a cool that I've been having it'* a P0117. what happens is the radiator fan runs continuously while the engine is running and also when the engine is off, even still at ignition off, it run for a few minutes before eventually turning off. initially I thought he was my engine coolant temperature sensor, I replaced that but that didn't solve the problem. I would look at the relays but I couldn't imagine the relays causing the cooling fans to stay on. So I'm just lost at this point trying to figure out what the next to do.
Does the MAP sensor have anything to do with the coolant temperature sensor? Somebody suggested that to Me maybe the map sensor is somehow connected to the to the coolant temperature sensor, but I'm not sure. so can someone enlighten me please and how to go about this a diagnostic protocol or procedure.

You have a problem with the temp sensor circuit and its causing the fan to stay on.

yeah I know I have to be something electrical/circuit bug, I had a feeling but problem is how do I go about fixing it or diagnosing it to know where to go from there???

Personally I'd pull the relay while it is undesirably running the fan(*).

In the meantime, I'd replace the temperature sensor.

Sorry Guys, I guess the more smarter question to ask is, What Color is the Signal wire in the Coolant Temp Side? And Whats the Signal Wire in the PCM/Gauge side?
I orange/Black and Yellow wire on the PCM/Gauge Side and On the Sensor Side I have Black and Yellow Wire..
I'm thinking the Yellow Wires are the Signal Wires....? But, I Just wanna be Sure..

I have ordered a new Coolant Temp Sensor, Just trying to figure out this Cooling fan stuff in the meantime....
But My guess is, Pulling the Fan Relays will turn the fans off...And I Just went out now and pulled Relays 1 & 2 and sure the fans turned off, But, as soon as I plug them back in the fans kicked on again as I figured. Only Relay that did not make any difference is the #3 Fan Relay, but, I'm guessing the #3 Fan Relay is like a back up or something, but I could be wrong....
Do You know what the #3 Fan Relay does/Controls?

The reason I was asking for the Signal wire is because after doing a lot of search online, reading articles and watching tons of videos, I learnt that a bad Dash Temp Gauge can cause this P0117 Issue and myriad of issues related to this and including the Fan staying on situation, Perhaps, My Dash Temp gauge is bad and thus mimicking the symptoms of bad ECT temp Sensor... ?

So I decided to research on how to test the Dash temp Gauge, from what I learnt, You unhook the ECT Harness and clip a wire from the Battery Neg and connect it to the Coolant/Dash Signal Wire, and turn Ignition/Key to On, if the Dash Temp Gauge is good, it'* supposed to jump to Hot... Correct??

Well Mine did not. I went ahead anyway and tried both pins (since one of them is ground anyway, Ground to ground can't do cause no harm) I tested both with the Ignition on and the Temp Gauge did not move.

Did I not do the test correctly? If I got it right, That Means My Dash temp gauge is Bye Bye then? could that be the source of My problem... :?

Hello, can anyone point Me to any resources/link/post/video that can help Me do a Dash Coolant Temp Gauge test on a 2000-2005 Chevy Impala?

Need a high end scanner to watch the live data from the ECU, while watching the temp sensor housing with a thermal imager to verify temp readings.
