2010 Escalade Leaking Transmission

2010 Escalade Leaking Transmission
I was changing the oil in my Wife'* Escalade the other day and noticed trans fluid coating the cross member to the rear of the Trans. I had noticed a few drops on the garage floor a few days prior. It only has 57K miles on it and is under power-train warranty but was wondering if this is a common issue. With a quick search I haven't turned up anything. I will bring it in to the dealer but would appreciate any ideas of what it could be before doing so.

With the powertrain warranty you will be good to go after they inspect /repair it.
Please post back what your dealer did to solve the leak.
I would assume they would use Dexron VI (6) and a new filter if it is the pan gasket.
I would want to be sure that they would completely service the trans while there anyways, as I like to replace the fluid & filter way before 57K miles.
Every 35 k miles my transmission gets dex 6 as fluid is cheap insurance.
Heavier vehicles work hard and the friction modifiers do break down over time.

Its not common issue. It could be a pan gasket as mentioned or it could be a seal. The Transfer case also uses ATF as well.
Yes, 2010 uses Dexron VI in trans and transfer case. My 2012 Denali has same AWD setup.

Also, some 2010 GM trucks had a defective transmission dip stick in that it would crack. Most of the time it manifests as a ticking noise as the loose cracked dipstick hits the firewall but if the vehicle was serviced and ATF was added it would leak out the cracked dipstick.
NOTE - Will only leak when fluid is added, if no fluid dded then no leak. That'* how we discovered mine 2010 Sierra needed a new tube when I had the ATF changed to 100% synthetic.

I haven't been on here for a while but figured I would update this if someone has a similar issue in the future. It ended up being a rear output shaft seal, which they gladly covered under warranty. It did also have a cracked dip-stick tube which was covered under the recall.
