Vibration-lemon law to litigation

Default Vibration-lemon law to litigation

I purchased my vehicle in August of 2016 and since day one it has pulled to the right( they aligned it that day and probably four or five times after that). On my way to Florida at about 10,000 miles the car starts vibrating on take off between 15 and 20 miles an hour. A total of 21 weeks without my car and at least 8 trips to the dealer, They have replaced engine mounts, right front axle, both front hubs, all four tires, left front axle and finally both axles again. I tried to deal with GM directly and asked them to buy the vehicle back. after months of them dragging their feet I got a lemon lawyer. It has been about 60 days since I obtained the lemon lawyer and GM came back today with an offer of not buying the car back but willing to pay me 3-4 thousand dollars for my troubles. I wasn't interested in money for my troubles. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and I cannot even be sure if it'* actually been fixed yet as it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks for it to start vibrating again. all I want for them is to take this car back and give me what I've paid.

litigation is an option but I'm not sure if that'* a good idea. Have any of you ever gone to litigation with GM before?

Ultimately in these kinds of situation, it can get too complicated quickly, and often litigation is not the best way to go.
Since you do not feel safe in this vehicle, & already have a 3-4k$ offer for your troubles, would you consider a trade possibly into another or different vehicle of similar year and mileage?
I also feel that it may be possible that mechanically some things may have been overlooked, regarding the vibration issues etc. Does it still pull to the right?

I am absolutely fine with a "trade". My only issue is, that when I purchased this vehicle I had about 9k in negative equity. Which wasnt a big deal seeing as i planned to drive this car until it was paid off or I had equity. However, they stopped making this car last year and my negative equity went up an extra 8-9k. Right now I'm about 14k upside down. I asked the lawyer to ask them for a hefty trade assistance. I have no desire to go to litigation. I just don't want to be left on the side of the road with a shitty vehicle and no warranty. You know? No one should have to buy a brand new vehicle and make these horrible payments to own a lemon.

Have you actually checked the lemon laws in your state? Does it meet the guidelines? From the sound of it, it should.....

Was this new or used?

Since Day 1, it pulled to the right? Didn't you test drive it? And you still bought it?

It does meet lemon law.. that'* why GM offered me money.

It did pull to the right during the test drive. I assumed it needed aligned and had them do it before I picked it up the next day. The pulling goes away for a week or so as does the vibration after a repair and then slowly comes back. From intermittent to constant every time. The last time they replaced both front axles with a new type of axle, it seems to have fixed it so far. But once it did take about 4 weeks to come back, so I can't be sure this time either. It'* a wobble(not in steering wheel) from 15-20 MPH on acceleration. You can feel it in the floor board and gear shift.

Adjustments and parts don't go out of whack over and over. It almost sounds like they are rotating tires when they do this work and the "square" tires from the rear take a little while to get chewed just right and start making the vibration return. Or something.

It might be worth your while to take it to a reputable shop of some sort and see if a fresh building full of fresh sets of eyes see something that the other building full of eyes missed.
