Default Wiper Switch not working 1999 Buick Rivera

Hello this is my very post as I am a new guy. I have a 1999 Buick Riviera and my son twisted the wiper switch all way around and now I can not control windshield wiper speed at all and have to pull fuse in and out to make them work. So my main question I guess is do I have to replace whole turn signal stick or can i just fix that wiper ****. Also does anyone now how to possibly get it off. Thank you for any time reading and responding with help.

Probably the same one as in my Pk Ave, & I have the factory service manual to help you.
Is this the same as yours?

You are probably going to have to replace the entire stalk. Upper & lower shrouds must come off etc..
I've never had to do the stalk replacement, but hopefully one of our gear heads has and can chime in, to better help out.

The FSM has it spread out over 2 books /2 sections for fun and honestly it may be easier to reference YouTube videos. The books make it look worse than it really is.
Did not see any videos for a Riv but Search Park avenue turn signal multifunction switch replacement & hopefully that may yield some video results for now.
When I get some time I'll dig around and see if I can find some more applicable videos.

You are welcome.
Hopefully your wheel is similar to these that I found..& the good news is the Air bag should not have to come off.
Also it appear it is two torx screw only to remove the assembly, which seems to be common among the switch!
Make sure you disconnect battery negative terminal & isolate it before starting this work!

I believe Riviera, LeSabre, Park Avenue, Bonneville, and Ninety Eight are all the same stalk . . . and likely the same columns. Aside from aesthetics that is.
