My belt is still retracting today ..
This Round cover is too tight along the seat belt, causing it to retract slowly.
As round piece twist & turns, it is a PITA.

I have pried with a knife to see if I could remove it easily, no go.
I think widening the opening with a clean cut above the belt may help.
Any idea how to cut into this thing, without damaging belt, or has anyone ever taken this stupid cover off somehow?

No idea how you could get that to retract easier, unless you can get some kind of lube, and use the straw thing, stick it in there on the far left, and far right, trying to spray the sides of the tensioner thingy, maybe then it will just pull harder..
If that dies not work, the only thing I could think of is something like a one sided file, but I am not sure how that would work on plastic.

Found something, but I think it is two sided, so it may damage the belt.

I cannot find any file single sided, and skinny enough, maybe if you have a local hardware store you could check them.
Good luck Art!
