Default remove evap solonoid 2002 buick

It seems that the simplest things sometimes cause the most problems. I am trying to change front valve cover gasket. In order to remove cover I have to move evap solonoid out of the way. It seem to just slip on to a flat metal bracket. however I have not been able to just slip it off. I'm afraid to force it since it is made of plastic. what am I missing? Should I just jerk it off? I don't see any retaining clips. Thanks for any help.

If you look closely at the bracket, there is a metal clip there, in the center....bend it outward with a small screw driver at the bottom of the bracket and then the solenoid comes off easy......bend it back inward before reinstalling the solenoid....

Thanks for the help. It came right off just as you said. I knew it couldn't be to complicated. I just didn,t want to break it while trying to get it off.
