2002 Buick Lesabre 8th digit K

I have a seized engine on the 02 Buick LeSabre, when looking for a new engine, if the 8th digit is the same, will the engine work? Or are there other things I should match up?

yes the K means its a L36. If you get one from a W body, you will need to switch some mounts over from your current motor

A W Body is like a Grand Prix, Impala, or Regal. The engine mounts are different.
