Default opinion on strut towers, 98 Buick Regal GS

Trying to get a clue on how far gone these strut towers are. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,
Nolan

I think some one here showed jamming wood on top of the strut towers so they cant pop threw but I would not advise it.

Thanks. I am trying to get a qualified opinion on how far gone, should they be restored or junked or what.

Really hard to tell by pictures.......

A good machine shop should be able to make a template of the mounting surface, and using braces/gussets weld into the surrounding structural area, that is still sound........

What condition is the rest of the car in? Mileage, other rust, other issues, etc?

It could mean the difference of running it until something breaks, then sending it away, or fixing a nice car now to keep it going for years to come.

250,000 miles and lots of rust on suspension and some frame parts. Time to sell for parts or more likely junk it.

I don't think the strut tower rust is the next failure. Unless there is a worse spot not pictured, I would keep rolling it for now.

You could get a non rusted one down here in Texas for about $1500 and save that one for parts.
Just a thought before you run out to spend lots of $$$$
