Car is a 2002 PA base model (no options). The automatic headlights have always worked up until a day ago. Now, they don't come on in the dark and I have to use the manual headlight switch. I've even covered the light sensor(*) on the dash and the headlights still don't come on. I'm guessing one of the ambient light sensors is bad?

Fuse....light sensor...lamp control module....dash integration module....there are various wire schematics depending on the options.....

Do the daytime running lights still come on during the day? If so, are the running lights coming on at night still?

The DRL'* work during the day and at night. I do have to turn on the headlights if I want dash lights and tail lights to work

I had to change my Dash Integration Module because my climate control was dead. My headlights used to stay ON all the time. Once I changed the DIM my climate control came back and my auto headlights functioned normally.

A couple weeks ago I had the automatic headlights come back again and they worked fine, until a few days ago when they stopped working again. Could it be a bad connection to the DIM if it happens randomly like that? One of my remotes had also stopped working, so I had to reprogram it. Not sure if that'* related to the DIM or not.

I think the dash integration module, is the only thing that controls the hi/lo beam relays.....

After rereading your posts, I am leaning towards the ambient light sensor circuit, because you say the DRL'* are on in the dark.....well if the lamp control is getting a signal from the sensor, that it is light outside, the LCM is not going to send a signal to the DIM, to ground the relay(either hi or lo).....however when your headlight switch sends a ground signal to the LCM, the LCM then sends a signal via Class II, to the DIM to not only power the relay, but also ground it.....therefore the DIM should be ok...

This is not like old systems where the headlight switch directly powers the headlights....all the headlight switch does, is send signals to the LCM......

A Tech II would tell you if the LCM was getting the correct signal from the ambient light sensor.....

Programming the keyless fobs, has nothing to do with the headlights...
