I mean doing the pump in original 29 year old application certainly is to be expected but have you seen this before in how the pressure drops? I would have thought I would have gotten weak pressure engine not running and then weak while running but zero not running and 40 while running? Have you heard of this?

Nope. Never seen any vehicle run without any fuel pressure.

Bad check valve in pump or leaking fuel injectors. My money'* on the pump.

Hi folks, so I started at the fuel pressure regulator as advised by Cathedral Club and that solved the problem. Drives absolutely great, smoother and more powerful and no hesitation under full power. It was pulling plenty of vacuum so maybe it was simply worn out or stuck open. So the pump goes on and 43 PSI at idle. She'* driven over 100 miles on the parkway last few days no issues what so ever. She commented that the power is greater and she found herself moving too fast more than once.

Please see my 1985 Camaro post crank no start condition.

Thanks for all the information.
