Default Help...left front tranny mount

Ok wen I put the car in drive,,,loud hard shift...the mount seems like its disconnected where it touches the crossmember....so I assume it needs to be replaced....does the bolt come right out after the nut is removed ??

If not how can you lift the engine high enough to get it out...best place to buy new one ?

To replace that mount you need remove the nut from where it mounts to the frame, then you want to use a floor jack and a piece of wood to lift the transmission up a little to take the weight off of it then take the three bolts out of the bracket that attaches it to the transmission and replace the mount on the bracket out of the car. I bought one for my dads car from Napa and it has a lifetime warranty so if it breaks again the will give you a free replacement.

Yea I tried doing it w/o taking that bracket off but couldnt clear the stud...I didnt remove the bracket 100%..just swung it away and then tightened everything back up>>>the old one WAS shot for sure...all torn...

I bought the replaement at NAPA...not life warranty though,,,its only 1 yr
