Electrical- Interior Lights Remain On
And I don't believe there is a formal BCM, but the RKE module does interact with alot of the systems affected, and is up under the dash, and should also ground through one of the notorious ground busses by the front doors (see what I did there?)
nope, the slider for the dash lights has been moved to all positions. as the twilight sentinel switch. nothing works. I have pulled grounds they are all clean, no chewed wires , only one chewed hard plastic line for the charcoal canister and I fixed that today, Amazingly enough the rodent problems are very slim, pulled the gas tank and there was a pile of old acorns, but they never bothered any wires. I have pulled all the fuses from the drivers side fuse block, and reinstalled, and i checked all the fuses at the underhood block, but I haven't pulled any relays.
Couple questions:
Did you check ALL fuses AND circuit breakers?
When you move the slider for the dimmer, do your lights dim? You say your dash does not light up...what about the radio and HVAC control heads?
Everything on this vehicle goes through a Lamp Control module.......
What you need is a schematic of the module to do the necessary testing at the harnesses to it.....

ok, seen a vid on the light control module having a bad resistor and the guy replaced the resistor and it worked again, now the resistor was a 100 ohm 1 watt resistor, I pulled my module out and removed the board and then replugged it in and manually activated the 3 relays, lights and dash lights come on when i engage the relays by hand so i know its not the light power circuit, so i brought the board home and scrapped some of the coating off the resistor pins, and I get .980 ohms across the resistor so i figure that is within tolerance, funny thing is without the module in place or just the control plug unplugged the door open chime comes on with no key in the ignition and the interior lights still stay on, and i get no indicator lights to let me know the light switch is on. .....crazy ****.
couple things:
100 ohms is not even close to .980 ohms
Also, you can't ohm out a resistor in a circuit board......it could be in parallel with resistance.......you would have to un-solder one end, and take a reading.....Since you just bought this, you have no idea if these problems all happened at the same time or progressively happened, thus you can have more than one problem....
Another thing to be aware of, with C and H platforms, there are a lot of grounds/soldered connections under the carpet, and if you lift the carpet up and find water/dampness, you could have various corrosion problems under there...
I assume you have a schematic and checked all power/grounds into the module?
