I agree with Justin. The 60* V6s get better mileage on the highway than many 4cyls, and even the city mpg isn't that bad. Plus, the 3500 makes about 220hp, so these cars are fairly quick.

after 06-07 its like 240, on imp and monte, i think 220 was malibu, g6 etc

According to Wiki (I know, not a great source), the LZ4 3500 had 211hp (224 after 07). The LX9 (malibu, g6) ranged from 196-201hp. The info there seems to be a little off.. it lists two different 3500s for the 06-11 impala.. the LZ4 and the LZE.. so I'm not sure which is correct, if either are.

yep thats right. ive been looking at other things, and typing about different stuff, shouldn't do that. my mom wants a cruze and im trying to get her to trade her 03 imp for a newer one.

lze is just the ethanol version of the lz4.
