Tater wanted me to post this for him:

On the way here [to work] the damn thing went into slam shifts again and when I got here I realized my door wouldn't work. Every switch was dead. Till I turned the key off then on again.

Could this be a bcm issue?

if its not two problems, i would say more likely a ground problem, i dont think the trans has anything to do with the bcm directly.

ya as far as i know the buss is in the inner kick panel drivers side.
Tell Jason that my PA also has lost all power at driver'* door switches yet it will still lock/unlock from FOB... it probably is a ground problemo and corrosion at buss or even wires /connector at inside door panel which is where mine was corroded.

im thinking it may have gotten wet and turned it self off as a saftey precaution. because when i took the key out (not when i put it in park as it should) all doors unlocked except the drivers door. i put the key back in and everything worked perfectly. the reason i think it may have gotten wet is on my way to work, i had the window cracked while smoking, drove thru a puddle that was bigger than i had anticipated and flooded the door.

as for the trans, driving under about half throttle, it seems to slip just a little bit. which makes me extra happy! especially considering i had it rebuilt about 60k ago.

grrrrr. this car is making me angry. in one trip to the library, the damn abs pump was running the entire drive, it went into slam shifts after slamming into drive, and then when i went into drive leaving the thing sounded like the p/* pump was struggling then it slammed into drive twice. this car is really testing me. now that i have a job, i am really tempted to drive the thing to a dealer and start test driving.

im just sick of dumping money into the thing. i know its just the nature of old cars, but damn. ive added up all my reciepts today, and since i bought the car for 3k at 98k miles in january of '10 i have dumped almost 9k just in parts and labor. i could have had a camaro halfway paid off by now. and all i have to show for it is all the problems recurring (the trans really has me PO) and a private sale bluebook value of 3k in immaculate condition. with the problems it has, its worth about 2200.

i love my car, but it just dont seem economically sound to me to put another cent into it.
