Default Antenna Cable

I have a 2007 Buick Lucerne CXL. The radio is the 6 CD changer from Fujitsu Ten Limited, part number 15797876. When I bought the car the radio was not receiving stations very well. I pulled the radio out to find out that the antenna cable was broken. A jack was taped onto the end of the cable and that was dangling in the radio'* antenna port. I want to repair or replace the existing cable and get this working again but I am having trouble figuring out what the antenna cable end is. Please help. I have attached a few pictures of what I have. The pictures are off the internet, but are the same as what is in the vehicle.

This is what the antenna cable port looks like.

This is the information on the side of the radio.

This is the cable end that was taped to the existing cable

Ummm . . . if I understand this correctly, you're looking for a new end as well as a means with which th connect it to your old antenna wire, right?

That is correct. If the end is on an adapter, I can splice it to old antenna cable. The issue I am having is that all the adapters I have found, have the female end, and go to a standard plug like what was taped to the old cable to begin with. I am hoping someone can provide a picture of the correct jack and/or the name of the jack.

I believe that connector type is called a DIN connector. the wire going into it is just like a coax cable wire. It has an inner solid copper wire covered by insulation and that is covered by stranded copper wire which is then covered by an outer layer. you can do a search for a car antenna cable and should come up with dozens of hits. then go on youtube and search for how to splice an auto antenna wire. it'* pretty easy. if this doesn't help, post again and I will give you more info.
