Also, if your issues persist, you should check out the harness. Especially where it plugs into the harness on the top by the fuel injectors, factory units of 3800 were known to leak coolant onto the engines below (they were stacked after being tested) and corrosion. its a long time since then but if it started slow, you never know

Here'* the issue I'm having. It happens intermittently. But most of the time in operating temperature and when accelerating. I am suspecting a bad fuel pump, a bad oil switch sensor or a ignition related problem. The transmission is fine and works great

For some reason, Post #20 was added to this other thread 15 minutes before Post #21 was added here. Moved Post #20 here to this thread to solve this.

Bad fuel pump would have it stumble down, not up like in the video.

Looks like the transmission is slipping to me. The way it is doing it makes me think it is low on fluid or the filter doesn't seal properly.

Thanks for your help and patience.

I have chaged the ATF, Filter and filter bushing 4000 miles ago. I also reattached the Differential accumulator line that commonly comes loose on these 4T60E'*. The fluid has the right level color and smell. I check it with the car in Neutral and running engine when at operating temperature.

I will re check wires and grounds to see if I missed something. Inspect the Relays and review the ECU recordings of the issue.

The problem with the revs bouncing up and down is intermittent, I also can feel a lack of power. If the transmission was to slip the engine revolutions would be going up while the car speed would remain the same. But here the whole car also jerks and bounces back and forwards. It'* an intermittent problem . Most of the time the car drives fine and changes gears fine.

In the video, it looks like it accelerates the whole time. That'* entirely possible if it is slipping enough to let the engine flare, but not enough that there is zero power getting through the transaxle.

Maybe we need a bobblehead in-frame in the next video to see the jerking and bouncing from this side of the Internet.
