One more question, while swapping everything on the motor will I need to swap the heads as well? cause if so i will probably just order a new engine gasket set

No, the block, heads, and the lower intake manifold are the same. Not sure if it was already mentioned, but get the Dorman aluminum elbows and metal framed intake gaskets.

okay so its been a little bit since i been around working a full time shift manager job and doing this at same time.
I got motor out and new one in withing 4 days.
I ended up withone out of a 2000 Buick lesabre with 81k miles and 90 day warranty for 600.
I swaped everything but front exhaust manifold, whole upper manifold hasnt been changed i swapped all sencers and items connectd to them except the EGR valve.

She has bad gas in her but a quick squirt of starter fluid and she starts right up, she runs normal for a while then jump to 2000-3000 rpm and idles. i give it gas it jumps up and down real b ad then when let off drops idle to normal then raises back up..
Plugs n wires are bad waiting to get more money to start some more. was going to put heet in the tank and fill it full with good gas and octane booster. swap EGR valve and try again any other ideas on this? if she ran funny after that i was goign to swap distirbuter pack from old motor too.

Start and Run im happy so far for first swap

I don't think you can resurrect bad gas, but replacing it with fresh gas would help.

Keep us posted and good job!!

I went out and got the Plugs and Wires changed and have taken a new video of what is going on for you to see. She runs and idles normal but as she gets warmer the RMPs slowly rise with it but seems to run decent. Then when at operating tem she is idle real high and then develops a spit and when given gas will spit very badly and sometimes get the where it will almost die or maybe backfire. But when the car is put into gear the rpms drops to normal area and doesnt bounce i cant be on outside to tell if spitting or not.

Here is the link to the youtube video at operating temp.

I also have a 95 Buick that is ODB1 but has the ODB2 connecter which is making my day more lovely so i have to buy this special connector that i think connects to the ODB2 and connects with the ALDL that I will be puchasing on Friday from
GM OBD1 Scanner Cable & Software - USB to 16 pin ALDL direct. - GM OBDI!!

This way I can see what is kicking on the check engine light. Ill be going back out there soon to drain the gas and check the altenator. Does anyone have any more ideas what coulg cause this crazy idleing.

Did you do anything with the throttle body, mainly with the TPS sensor?

I have even tried unconnecting the TPS EGR and noticed no difference while it was running. and having no way to scan the ODB its just playing guess and check. tomorrow i will be taking out the gas and putting nw gas in with injector cleaner.
