Default 2000 Park Ave 25628664 Light Control Module location

My 2000 Park Ave'* headlights have gone crazy. They turn on and off and there is a buzzing sound coming from somewhere near the steering column. They ran my battery completely out... It seems as though the

25628664 Light Control is messed up (runs the sentinel?). GM nor aftermarket places in town have it. I am going to try to find one in our local salvage. Anyone know where/how hard this is to replace? Could it just as easy be something else? I took out the BCM fuse under the seat hoping that was it but that didn't help. The buzz sound sounds kind of like static on a radio...

Thank you in advance for your help

Sounds like the BCM is inebriated.

The sound is coming from below the steering column. I tried taking the BCM fuse out a week or two ago under the back seat in the fuse box. Seemed to slow the problem, but it is still there. I think it is the headlight control module, but I can't figure out how to get to it. I can hear it crackling....do I take part of the dash out to see it?

Mitchell says it'* on the left of the steering column and in another place (same manual) it says it on the right side of the column.
No procedure given as to R&R.

I had the slider for the interior lights dimming do that on my 96 Park Ave, I think I had a short that involved my cars aftermarket stereo touching a wire that was causing it, you should have a interior light dimmer in that area right?

the manual I have says it'* under the dash to the right side of the steering column.
3 screws for the bracket and the bracket also has the dimmer module attatched to it. 2 connectors on the LCM and 1 on the Dimmer module.
