I need to replace the Lamp Control Module in my 2002 Park Avenue (Part number 25628664). According to the GM manual, it seems that I need to completely remove my instrument panel - including removal of the steering column. However, the page it is pointing to is all about changing the whole IP after an accident. I removed the lower IP and found that the Module is attached to the back of the IP frame and still inaccessible. What do I really need to take apart to get at it? I can't imagine that I have to remove the steering column. If I remove the upper IP and the lower IP, will I be able to get at it?
