My friends 2000 Park Ave check engine light is on. We stopped at AutoZone and the scanner said something like " intake temperature sensor " Is this a known problem and where is the sensor ? Thank you folks here !

Check to see if it is plugged in. It will be on the rubber intake hose. If it is plugged in, replace it. They are either bad or good.

Any idea what it looks like ?? He just changed the air filter so he probably knocked it off. Thank you

This would be the Intake Air Temperature Sensor.

it is located on the inlet tube between the intake manifold and air filter.
