1995 Buick Le Sabre V6 3.8
Hi I'm in a bit if a pickle here my car dies in the middle of the road all the dashboard lights turn on and off and then it seaces to live, when I try to crank it Sometimes it makes a noise coming from the passage side of the dashboard, and sometimes it doesnt. After I let it sit for a good 15-20 mins it starts again sometimes it dies more than once a day and sometimes just once.
I've done basic maintenance on this 1995 Buick Le Sabre it'* a V6 3.8 I've bought a new battery haven't changed the battery cables, cleaned the evaporator perge, changed the gas pump, new gas filter, cleaned egr valve, new thermostat, new fuses, new vacuum hoses. I've heard I need a OBD1.5 to scan it but I'm short on cash and would like to know which of these scanners fits best for this specific model, also any ideas on what the problem might be will be greatly appreciated Thank You!

The time to test it, is when it won't start.....
Check for spark....
Check for fuel pressure, or spray carb cleaner into the intake to see if it starts....
Does it crank and not start, or doesn't crank at all? If it doesn't crank, when you turn the key to "on", does the SECURITY light come on for three seconds and then go out?
Try disconnecting the MAF as see if it starts....
Pull the vac line to the f/p regulator and see if there is fuel in the line....

Check for spark.... (Checked it does spark)
Check for fuel pressure, or spray carb cleaner into the intake to see if it starts.... (Fuel is flowing)

(Doesn't crank when it completely dies but there'* times it does crank and all lights cone on and then go out sometimes it varies)

Does power completely drop out as if you turned off the key? Or does the dash go all wonky, and then drop dead, but all the radio and other accessories still work?

Yes and the steering wheel gets really hard I've almost died on the freeway. I don't know about the radio because I barely found out the fuse to it was missin.

I've seen loose connection or bad terminal cause something similar on my 1997 LeSabre when you hit the brakes. If the alternator isn't spinning fast enough (as happens when slowing down in traffic) and the connection is loose to the battery so it can't help with brake lights' inrush the voltage to the PCM drops enough that the engine stalls. First time my bride drove my Roadmaster was when I rescued her from this. It would do this like clockwork below 900ish RPMs, and above 1,000ish it'd be fine.
I hope JessicaRabbit comes back to let us know what happened.
